Rhode island isn't notorious for high rent payments. So you might be fine! Do you live at home with parents? Rent? Own? Location and living situation are the biggest factors. Oh.. I almost forgot wife/girlfriend.

nobody is going to answer that they make millions per week. 400 per week is 1600 per month (yeah i can multiply), which probably means you'll barely be affording payments unless you drag them out for 60 months or something absurd like that. My honest opinion, no, you cannot afford the car. Can you buy one? yes. There is another thread someone started today similiar to yours, you should try to search and find it, it might help out your decision making.

Try to save an extra 400 bucks a month for a few months. Then get a quote from your insurance company. Then try to save that difference you would be paying as well. If you can manage.. then sure.

(If you want to get monthly pay from weekly, you should multiply by 4.33 weeks. It adds up)
