Importing from Japan

Does anyone know how I can bring my Evo back from Japan? I currently have an Evo VI TME and am thinking of purchasing a VII or VII before I leave here. Any help with how to take it back?

Impossible unless you have a lot of money or are willing to break a few laws. The only legal way to do it is to register it for off-road purposes only, and then you can't drive it on the street.

there are a few people on this forum with street registered pre-VIIIs. don't know how they did it, or how "legal" they are, but it's been done. I believe some states (ie florida) are a lot more liberal on registration.

You would be able to import it, no problem. You would not be able to register it to drive on public roads though.
You would need to make the car fit the US safety and smog control laws before registering it. That would include DOT approved lighting and glass.
This may helphttp://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/.../RiHT0012.html
