EVO Hood and vents

I recently bought an 2005 EvoVIII in silver and really like the car. I can only imagine what a heavily modded EVO would feel like. For some reason I'm getting to work in a shorter amount of time. I wonder whats thats from.

Anyway I was sitting at a red light and I could see the hot air coming from the hood vents. Looks frickin suweet.

I currently reading all the numerous threads on this site and hitting the Newbie area.

I'm local to Dallas Texas and look forward to contributing to the site. I think I will keep my EVO stock for awhile before cutting loose on the mods.

I had a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 with the Magnum engine with super chip, CAI, Magnaflow and 1 inch drop shackles and rear wheel well inserts and a Stull upper and lower grill. It was a big hosh that drank the gas so that was the end of that.

The only thing now is I won't take the dogs to the lake in the EVO. Kids barely ride in it. Wife rode in it once.

hahaha, thats what they all say.

Welcome to the board.

I did the truck/Jeep thing for a while as well (still miss her). 83 CJ-7, 4" up on 33's with a full cage and 4.10's sitting in 1 piece axles. Damn I miss that toy.

haha been there. Heres whats gonna happen, you'll say, "ahh whats the worst that could happen with a drop in filter?...ya know what, **** it, i'll put an exhaust on...a cat back wouldn't hurt...while i'm at it...maybe a boost gauge, a gauge isn't really a 'mod' is it?...OK I'll do ONE flash but THATS IT."

Next thing you know, boost controller, more gauges, TBE, cams, another flash...a couple thousand dollars later and you've joined the cult. Welcome to the family bro

(IF you actually can fight the urge to mod it, good for you, theres many people on this forum that will tell you from their experiences, myself included, that they would have taken it a little slower on the path to voided warranty)

Don't get me wrong I love and live to MOD. It was the same way with my Dodge. One mod led to another and so on. I will fight the urge but with have my eye on some mods once I get an idea what everyone is talking about.
