New member here!

Hey guys! My name is Cio and I just bought an Evo 8 2003 fully stock. The car didn't even come with a boost gauge it's so virgin. I'm the market in buying a boost gauge and thought maybe I can get some opinions on which ones are good and what I should stay away from. Please if you got any answers hit me up and let me know! Also I am looking for a BOV for my ride too so if you got any suggestions let me know...Thanks! Peace!

Pretty much any boost gauge is fine. Get whatever you prefer.

Please, please please do not start by upgrading your BOV. You're a big boy now with a big boy car - don't treat it like a Honda or a 2F2F clone.

Congrats on the new purchase!

As for boost guages, I really don't know of any to stay away from. I think you get what you pay for.

BOV's: Forge is good, just stay away from ones that vent ot atmosphere (VTA)

Thumbs up

Just make sure it's a 30 psi gauge that shows vacuum as well

Personaly i prefer autometer, My MR2 Has an autometer. But remeber if you get an electronic boost controler like the profect b-spec II, which i also have. It will display the boost also. but i don't recomend tuning a boost controler with its own readout, even if you temporarily rig up a boost gauge. Enjoy, and Stay away from Fase and other off brand names. Remeber its your BOOST, Too much and ENGINE OR TURBO DAMAGE MAY OCCUR. you only have worry about that when you put a boost controller on anyway so you should be fine. You should spend about 60 on a mechanical one and 150 on electric.

Autometer guage and pod. Leave the BOV and intake alone

Next mods, TBE, fuel pump and ecu reflash

well if you plan on puuting more than just a boost gauge in your car then I suggest the zeitronix a\f meter(585 shipped from ttp) that comes with boost sensor, egt sensor, so you get your a\f ratio, boost, egt temp, lambada, and some ridiculous amount of datalogging. So if you are gonna get theses gauges later you should jus get this. It is displayed on a digital display thats about the size of a one inch thick business card. I plan on picking this up in the near future instead of getting gauges.

We have many packages for this unit.

Zeitronix

1. add LCD screen (pictured)
2. add boost sensor (medical grade precision sensor)
3. add exhaust temp sensor (EGT)
4. add programmable audio/visual warning LED and siren to set to alarm on overboost or too hot EGTs
