I've been searching for 3 days now and have not been able to find the real answer... What is the stock downpipe diameter? People mention that the stock cat-back is 2.5" and same with the cat.

I just threw in a Megan racing cat-back on Friday and noticed that the cat is not quite 2.5", it's actually a tiny bit smaller. I had to do a little grinding at the flange holes on the cat-back just to get it together.

So, I've already gone and ordered a 3" high flow cat, but my question now is... is it worth it at this point in doing the downpipe, or can I wait a bit. I was going to get the whole set, but it's backordered for 2-3 weeks. Now I'm going to throw in the high flow cat as soon as I get it. I've read on the forums people talking about buying 2.5" downpipes. This could only mean to me that the stock DP is actually smaller, or what idiot would go out and buy a new one? I may just wait to see when the shipment comes in, but I'm just wondering if it's worth it for me to save some money for a month or so
