Old school EVO
Old school EVO
Ok, this is probably the ancestor of what you guys are getting over the states.
Not one the first one that started them all but something in between...
I present to you a pristine specimen of the EVOLUTION IV.
Its 4 - 5 generations behind what you guys are getting but it is LIGHT and therefore it should go like a rocket if done correctly

And this is what I have on the car :
Monster strut bar (Front and Rear)
Ralliart suspension system (With all due honesty, these are rather crap compared to a proper set of coilovers)
Monster rear Anti roll bar
HKS EVC 5
HKS Turbo Timer
HKS Suction kit
Wiseco Forged piston kit
Evo 7 engine, Evo 7 Drivetrain
Mines Tuned ECU
Brembo front and rears (The stock E4 come with the "gravel" brakes)
Evo 5 rims with shod with 225/45/17 AD07s (What u're looking at now are Enkei RC2 which are in cold storage)
HKS Downpipe
Kansai High flow fuel pump (Similar to the walbro item @ 255L)
Ralliart full exhaust system (Cat back)
Thats about it...this is what I have planned
PowerFC D-Jetro (Arriving next week)
280 or 272 cam kit (Some suggestions will be good)
A 20G or a one of those GT kits from one of the vendors here (Currently BR is my first choice. I wonder if he'll consider sponsoring a car on the other side of the world
)
Larger Injectors (800cc min!)
Fuel Regulator (Sard one coming in soon)
A proper coilover setup
And when I do melt / blow anything in my block....a stroker kit will be going in!
Will do all these in stages. Not easy for a student juggling a job just to fuel his passion for a car (Hey BR you heard me
)
Thanks for all the nice words and excellent forum! So many things to read and learn.

Everytime I see one of these threads that post pictures of the older generations of EVOs, I can't help but wonder why Mitsubishi didn't bring them stateside sooner than they did. I would have without a doubt already been in an EVO V or VI had those been availble here in the US. Just speculative dreaming I guess, but I still love my EVO VIII.
Yeah, it's amazing how slow they were to make the decision to bring the Evo over to the states. Subaru had to give us a watered-down version of the WRX before they realized "oh wow, people in the states DO like AWD turbo cars...."

more pics will follow...
These pics are taken by my crappy in phone camera....
how fast does it go?
Never tried it yet...
once everything is done up (about 2 months?)
I'll get horsepower figures and hopefully some timing to show for it
