ES newb here with ? - lip kit or lower?

Hey all, newb here....let me start off by saying its good to get back into modifying cars...recently bought a house and have been poor. So right now my car is basically stock 'cept for the tint and wheels. I have enough money and only plan on doing one thing right now for the next 3-4 months until I can have some more cash. My question is this...should I lower my ES (thinking about going with progress) or buy and install a ralliart lip kit? Currently Im running 205/45/17 and will also be upgrading to 215/35/18's within the next two weeks so thats something else to keep in mind. Is it easier to live without lowering or live without a lip kit/bodykit? opinions are appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

got any closer pics of the wheels and wheel gap? cause if the wheel gap isn't to bad and since your getting bigger wheels later on down the road, not sure how much you could really lower it without rubbing, so I'd prolly just suggest a lip kit.

attaching another pic of a closer shot of the front which obviously sits up higher than the back...any change of mind? Im leaning towards just lowering because I may end up paying a bit more for the lip kit but.....

The HELL were you thinking when purchasing and even attempting to put it on your lancer?

A drop on a es lancer makes it look a lot better in my opinion, then go with the lip. However please do not go with a wing like that, something like that belongs on a honda(ricer).

Cool, so I think Im going with the drop first, lip kit later. However, Im a bit concerned that 1.8" (sprint) will be a tad low with my new 215/35/18's...however if Im going to spend that much money on suspension/possible installation cost, then I want to make it count. Oh and an added note: Im not a fan of the wing either, but to each their own. If he likes it then thats what matters (I think thats the quote)

coilovers. then you can adjust the height and not have to worry about blown shocks.
