Problem with my evo...dunno what to do...

Hey, just got my new "used" evo 8 couple weeks ago. It was working great, but all of a sudden two days ago, my boost stopped engaging correctly. The reving what not functioning properly, it almost sounds as if the timing belt isn't working. I'm thinking its my clutch, but can't be for sure. I have a CUSCO carbon single disk clutch installed. The EVO is lightly tuned with about 300 WHP. Not sure what and how to do anything. I'm also new to the city of Philadelphia. I don't want to take is just anywhere to have it checked up. Help me out. Thanks.

A worn out clutch will give you a faulty sensation of boost , lack of power and inacurate boost reading for proper rpm power range.

Put the car in high gear and floor it, the rpm shoul go up slowly. If the rpm go up fast and you go nowhere then is the clutch.

Let us know.

A clutch going out will be nasty......Mine went out on me the other month and it was acting strange........I would be gasing it and all of a sudden the RPMs would shoot straight upto 6-7. My clutch went out so hard it blew my starter up HHAHA

Yeah, its the clutch, I tried it and it started to slip like crazy, the boost didn't hit the wheels and the rpm just shoot up. I just ordered a new clutch: ACT MB7-HDR6 I heard pretty good things about it and it can't be any harsher than the CUSCO carbon single that I had. Let me know what you think. thanks

I got it from my bro in law. I've seen it since it was new and was there for every installment. Thats the only reason I got it from him, other than that I wouldn't have gotten a used evo.
