Trading in for an EB XI SSL need advise
Hi everyone I have enjoyed reading the forums and really enjoyed evolutionm.net. I have desided trading in for an Evo XI. I have a few questions about building a new evo.
-I am planing on getting the SSL package for comfort
-I am planing on installing DEI Security system Viper or Clifford
- The first mod I am planning is after I put about 15k on the car to put A bilstein PSS9 system on it as I really enjoyed it on one of my past cars
-I do plan on going to track days at Road Atlanta as I have raced there before with Panoz racing school.
1.Are the stock sway bars worth getting if I dont plan on getting after market swaybars for a while
2. What other accessories are useful.

First of all, I wish I could get a hold of an Evo XI
. As for your plans:

This is up to you if the sunroof, leather, and HID's are worth the extra cost, but then you will be pretty close to the cost of an MR
-I am planing on installing DEI Security system Viper or Clifford
A good choice in brand, but if you plan to install a turbo timer later, it would be more wise to purchase an alarm system with that option built-in. There have been many instances of issues caused by having both system installed separately.

Again, a good choice in coilovers. alot of MR owners even upgrade to these. If they are different enough from the stock Bilstein's to warrant an upgrade, then they must be good.

Can't argue with this.

I didn't know there were stock sway bars? Any sort of chassis reinforcemnet is always a good thing.
2. What other accessories are useful.
I take it you mean for handling purposes. Upgrade your strut bars, both front and rear. Rear first since you don't have one stock and then front if you want something beefier. If you don't get the rear strut one that has reinforcement bars, then get the RS/Cusco trunk bar as well. Lower arm bars are always good. They replace the stock black, straight metal ones under the car which is good if you plan to do exhaust since they can have clearance issues. Tie tods also. In terms of aero: gt wing, cf hood/trunk, font and rear diffusers, canards, and lip, etc.
