gsx conversion

hey guys i want to know if its possible to convert a evoIX motor in a 1998 gsx??

well im not going to do it, i already have an evo. but my friend wants to do it. we know this guy that can swap motors really good but i have never heard of anyone trying to do it.

swap the 4g63 into a civic... really easy just get the mounts and hammer the file wall out a little bit and your set.. plenty of power..

this motor is not "swappable" into a gsx. MAJOR MAJOR modifications and welding will be required. and even after then, i dont know if it is possible.

Yeah everything is opposite, so he would need to then custom fab all parts as the body is different and would make piping fit different.

even though it seems to be the same engine because of the code doesnt mean it will fit. The size is different, everything is opposite, and its not even worth it. You cant just swap an evo motor into a volvo by just throwing it in there. you need to do many mods and then it will work if you put in many hours and alot of money. If you do this please show us the final work because that would be p retty intrestin gg

You'd have better luck swapping a 4g63 from an EVO into a RS/GS, as everything is on the same side. It's not recommended by any means, but it has been done.

It would be a waste of time and money. The fact that the two engine bays are symmetrical, it would be a huge pain.
