New EVO owner

I've had my EVO IX RS for about 2 months now, and I figured that I may as well do one of these introductions. I'm completely new to Japanese imports. My automotive expertise mostly pertains to American muscle, and German cars I can't affords. I used to own a '77 Pontiac Trans Am, and I really always preferred V8 RWD American muscle(even though the T/A was no muscle car compared to its '60s era relatives) to hopped up imports. My first car was an '87 AUDI Coupe, and my last car was a '97 Jetta VR6. I never thought that I would ever buy a Japanese car. I don't like "riced out" tacky looking cars, and I hate exhausts that are loud just for the sake of being loud. I hate civics, and I think the WRX is one of the ugliest cars on earth.

Despite my lack of interest in Japanese cars, the EVO was too much car to ignore. When I drove one for the first time, I knew that the EVO was my next car. My car is bone stock. I plan to start modding it after I really learn the ins and outs of the car. Last thing; my car is white, and obviously wingless. I love how nobody knows what it is. I also love how much of a sleeper it is without the wing. I'm hoping cops don't recognize the car without the wing.

My goal to start is to gain HP without sacrifising everyday drivability, fuel consumption, and without voiding my warranty. I think the first mechanical mod will be a TBE, MBC, and flash (dynotune, or some sort of electrical management system. I'm still researching this very topic.) This is my everyday driver, and I do a good bit of city driving (Philadelphia). Everyday drivability and reliability is a big issue with me.

All of those are great starting mods, but they all void your warranty, so not sure if that part of your plan will remain intact...

Those are all part of the package in my sig, and daily drivability is not negatively affected at all, nor is gas mileage other than the increased tendency to haul *** all the time, which can obviously lessen your mpg. I have daily driven my 05 MR since the day I bought it, and that includes being stock, being at stage 1, and being where I am now with cams/alky/26psi. Pretty much any setup on the stock turbo will be daily drivable unless you have some aggressive cams or something...
