New to the Boards

What's up folks, I am new here and new to DSM's in general. Used to own a highly modified Mustang, gave it up to come to the darkside. Just wanted to say hello and that this site is one of the best I've seen. I am the proud father of a new GG IX, it now has 1100 miles on it and the mods are about to flow. I am having a tough time trying to figure out where to start, I'm sure after a few days of reading in the forums I will get a broad range of opinions to go on.

I've only been on here a couple weeks and have gained so much knowledge. I dont even own an EVO...I mean, not yet anyways. The best start I can see so far is the Warrtalon/Buschur package. Just search Warrtalon and check his signiture!

Yep, start with the package in my sig (click the link). Those are the best first mods you can get on a IX...

I guess your not bias at all, J/K man. Buschur is probably first on my list, do to the relationship they have with . I have seen some road race vids that blew my mind. I will probably get the mods in your sig as well as the 20-g swap and the supporting mods to go with that.

P.S. Congrats on your ride and I will give you first dibs on my stock turbo

Well, I'd love to have your stock turbo, but the 20g is just your same stock turbo with a 20g wheel. It is not worth the money to ugprade from a IX to a IX-20g (that's what they are). The power difference is minimal...

Shows how much I know , I though there was different internals as well as the housing. I def. want a bigger turbo that will bolt to the stock manifold so I will look around for more info.

There isn't one. The 20g-9-5 is as good as it gets on the stock manifold without a custom job, but the stock IX is already almost as good. 400whp/400wtq with instantaneous spool won't be enough? Larger turbos aren't efficient running through our stock manifold, though, which is why all the ATP turbos suck.

Wow, no that's just what I am looking for. I didn't know those numbers were attainable with the stocker, without a bunch of mods.

My stage 1 plus GSC cams and SMC alky with a custom Dynoflash...all done for about $2500. Might need a few supporting mods like fuel pump, LICP, and o2 housing, but you were going to need all that and more with a larger turbo. This won't require any head work or engine work, but you'll need a better clutch than stock, hah.

I am the Exective Chef for Ruth's Chris Steak House at The Water Street store. I do not have a place to live up there yet I am still in the process for now. I am back and forth between my store here and the store there. I am looking to get a place by the first of Aug. I have to tell you it's not easy trying to find a place to live up there. How about yourself?
