I have a 3 inch TBE with a stock cat. It drones really loud at 3k and on the freeway. Should I get a resonator or a glass pack to quiet it down with my system? Resonator kill performance. Comments appreciated.

 

For the effort of cutting into your cat back to install a resonator, you should just buy a different catback or have a muffler shop put on a different muffler. Did your muffler come with a silencer?

 

Yea it came with a silencer but at WOT throttle with the silencer it sounds like there is a big hole in on the muffler not a turbo back exhaust.

 

yes you should... i got pulled over and i had the buschur with hfc and magnaflow.. it was 102 db... at the testing station.. only proplem was ... that to get it fixed... (fix it ticket) they saw all my mods.. which meant i failed inspection.... long story short.... i don't have an evo anymore... how could i live with a stock evo?

 

102db got you in trouble? Are all the Harleys quiet in Cali?
