How's this deal?

Just got back from the dealership today with this quota. Would you consider this a good deal?

New 06 Evo IX SE
$31,000
APR 6.0 for 60 months.

I know that South Coast is selling the same car for $29,999 but I am in Nor. Cal and I do have a trade in. Driving my car down to S. Cal to do the trade in and then drive it back up might make it not worth it. What do you all think?

Does not matter what they are selling the car for...it is the differance that you have to pay after your trade.

It would depend a lot on your age/occupation/credit rating. I don't know how you presented yourself and what you have to put down. I gotta say not enough information.

Well I still owe money on my trade-in. This dealership is giving me $500 over what I owe so the total price before taxes and stuff is $30500.

My credit score is 740 so I should be able to get the best APR. The best I could find so far is 6.25 from my own credit union for up to 84 months. This dealer found another credit union that can do 6.0 for 60 months.

i think it's decent. up here, after a price drop at my local dealer, the IX SE is going for $32,800.

I think you are missing the point. It's hard to gauge whether they are offering you a good deal without the full details of your trade-in. They could sell you the Evo for $10k under sticker but if they are offering you $15k less than your trade-in is worth, its still a bum deal. Make sense?

Ok I see what you are saying. My trade in is a 2004 Mazda Rx8 6-speed @31K miles. KBB lists it at $16,475 in very good condition. Currently I owe $15,500 and the dealer is giving me $16,500 on the trade in.

Hmm.... sounds almost too good to be true. As long as you can't see any hidden numbers though, sounds pretty good. I mean a regular IX MSRP is like 32 and change.

Sounds like a pretty good deal. Albeit it's not the very best, but it's still a very good deal.
