hi there guys

I figure since ill finally introduce myself. a few guy on here know me, but you wont see me post too much cept for info on parts that i might incorporate into my project.

My ride is a 1990 Toyota Celica Alltrac. For those of you that are not familar with it, think of most celicas you see as a regular lancers. mine is like your Evo. inline 4, intercooled 2.0L turbo, AWD (with a tranny that will hold 700+ hp ). plus, it looks as cool as an EVO. I hope to get an evo one day, but im 19, so its not exactly in the budget cause i don't have rich parents.

here's some pics too.

I've met wartallon once at a dia autocross, and im really good friends with Evo_speedking, and ive probably met a few more of you guys around denver that are associated with AWDpirates.net.

Of course, ME w/the shocker

Welcome to the forum. Not everyone is familiar with that car but I am.

My countryman Carlos Sainz (worlds absolute rally history record winner) won two rally world championship(90 and 92) with that car. In fact in 1991 he was subchampion(second place)

It gets better, the car was fantastic however he was forced to leave due to the imcompatibility of two competitors sponsoring for the same car(Repsol) and (Castrol).

As you can see, that car was the S H I T from 90-92' and I am sure with such great car that guy could had got another championship.

Honestly is not a fast car but it would give you some fun. I delivered pizzas for about 6 years and a co-worker had one of those with some bolt ons. My Civic SI always gave him a fair fight for the money..

Take care buddy.

Carlos

Welcome to EvoM.

In the early 90's, Celicas were pretty common in Europe, specially the 2-liter DOHC 150bhp non-turbo version. Due to tall gearing and hefty weight (3,500+ lbs.), Alltrac Celicas were pretty sluggish: 0-60 in high 7's and quarter mile in high 15s. However, the potential is there and the average bolt-ons can do miracles on this car.

Its not quite that heavy. i weighed in at 3,340 at bandimire speedway with my 6'1" 190 lb. *** in it, full tank of gas, and a full size spare. I think thats only a hundred or two pounds over what the evo weighs. plus im going to be taking out the A/C and lightening it up with some silver SSR comps i have.

your right about the other stats. 0-60 in 7 second and high 15's in the quarter mile. but thats at stock boost which is 7-9 psi...
