evo's service intervals

i was just wondering why things on the evo like spark plugs, drive belts, timing belts, etc. have to be changed a lot sooner than other cars....at 60,000 miles instead of 100,000 miles....is that just because it is a turbo car?

Not just because it's a turbo car. It has more to do with the way the owners drive the car. Like they stole it...
