Hello Everyone,

Just got EVO RS, I got one a month ago with my brother, turned out it will be his car, so now I decided to get another one for myself .

Now we are both driving identical cars . We'll try to play around with different pads and tires to see which ones work better on the EVO.

It's funny how everyone tries to race the EVO, there was already SRT-4 harassing me on the way from the dealership. The urge was there to kick some FWD butt (in the pouring rain), but with 10 miles on the car and I guess common sense faintly whispering "Don't race on public roads..." I let the SRT-4 go his way.

I can't wait to return to track events, I have a feeling the car is much faster than me as a driver .

 

Welcome to the exclusive RS brotherhood! You my friend have purchased a fine automobile. This is by far the most fun I've had on 4 wheels and have no regrets trading in my 03 Evo VIII GSR for the 06 Evo IX RS. As soon as its broken in, you will find out just how fast that thing is and the tuning potential that lies beneath the hood.
Mine is so plain and unassuming in white, looks stock and rapes face all day.

 

So why did you give up 03 VIII? I mean with 06 RS you do get more power, but the car is more stripped down and lacks ABS.

Do you think RS is more fun than EVO VII?


I didn't want to pay $30k for the car, I liked the fact of not having the wing and lack of sound deadening makes this car really fun to drive. It's just loud and raw. That's why I got the RS.

 

Hell yeah the RS in my opinion is the most fun you can have driving ANY evo. And I certainly do not miss the ABS. I actually find that it breaks smoother without it.
