Forgive me if I sound totally stupid, scratch that I am asking something totally stupid. However, I am having trouble distinguishing what type of VIII I have.

Heres what I know (appearance)
2003 Apex Silver VIII
Suede Seats
No Sunroof
Stock CD Player
Factory HIDS
Power Mirriors/Windows
Non Adjustable CF Stock Wing
AC/HEAT

I know its not a RS, becuase I have a wing and power windows, AC and a radio. I know its not an MR becuase no vortex generator, no badging, and no bilstiens. I dont know what package I have as I did not buy it from a Mitsubishi dealershop.

Is it just VIII or do I have some SSL, SE, GSR or something other package I dont know about.

GSR/RS/MR...GSR is more of a Euro/JDM term. Like how in the States we have an Evolution - sure it says VIII on the floor mats but it was not marketed that way to us - mainly because we didnt have I-VII here...

SSL is sun/sound/leather (sunroof, sub, leather seats)
GSR is the standard package (03-now)
RS is the no power no wing, bare bones model (04+)
MR is the alum. roof, 6sp, Bils. etc. (05+)
SE is the Special Edition (only can be had in 06s)

So, you have a 2003 Evo VIII GSR.

 

I was told that too, but dude doesnt have a evo. So I was doubtful.

Would it be true though, the GSR is a standard package, and I could possibly have a GSR?

in 03 they didnt have an mr i dont think they had an option for factory hids that might have been done after market. i am not sure if there was an ssl package then or not.

 

yeah, I dont have leather seats only the stock suede recaro ones. that was for reference for anyone that could help me out.

Correct no MRs in 03/04, those are 05+.

Incorrect. 03/04 HIDs where factory. In 05+ they stopped that and if you wanted the HIDs you had to get the SSL package or an MR
