i was thinking about buying a used evo 8 and i was hoping to get info on how much you guys r paying for ur insurance. its either a new 07 civic si or a used 03 evo 8. it all depends on how much the insurance is for each. by the way im only 17 and im under my parants insurance at the moment. thanks for the help in advanced.
a good idea would be to call the insurance company and ask. they'll give you the price on both cars closer than anyone on here can. there's simply too many variables, local, history, company, etc.
your insurance is still going to be high, why because the evo is rated higher than a corvette.I tried to stay under my dads insurance but said it was 300 dollars different a year, btw iam 23 with no accidents or tickets"knock on wood
".I would get the civic si since it is still a nice car and you would'nt being paying extremely high insurance and car note.trust me you will have more money to mod your car if you bought the civic, and still have money to play with.
btw i pay 3600/year with a clean record and 6years driving experiance

Get a beater daily driver and tell the insurance company you drive your EVO for pleasure less than 4000 miles per year. I pay 600/year for full overage. Good record over 25 single blah blah blah...

220 a month, 2 cars (06 9 MR and 00' Celica GT) no tickets, but had the Evo recently get hit in a parking lot for almost 2k damage. I havent seen an insurance increase yet so we'll see. (was hit while I was inside, came out to a nice suprise)
Cheers
Edit: Thats Maryland rates too, so I consider myself lucky considering all the accidents around that area.
