Why do # of posts decrease?

Anyone get this? One day I'll have 70 and then the next it will be 68?

If you post in a thread that gets deleted or moved to OT then those posts no longer count towards your total.

Don't stress about your post count anyway -- just post on what you find interesting and where you feel you can contribute

It's if you post in OT, or if you post crap. Contribute and you'll be fine.

Pretty much. If a thread is moved from say Evo General to Off Topic, your posts in that thread will not count. Also, if a post(s) of yours gets deleted, it will reduce from your count. Mind you, we don't go around deleting posts for no reason. Usually there is a reason why we delete a post, such as: obvious post whoring, violation of rules, etc.
