oh im pumping 93 in my tank .. when i had 14k on my car ia the guy at the gas station use 87 an filled it up ...i didnt have a problem then ...i have 24k now ..so what do u think....

we need a little more information from you than just "it feels like i have no power", is the engine nocking, hesitating during accel, backfireing, etc? or just slow

 

yes it does hesitate during acceleration.....feel like the car doesnt want to pick up an move until i really step on the pedal usually driving from stop light to stop light i can feell the power..same thing on the highway feels like im goin 50mph when the speed d. says 70 ..i can hear my turbo spooling up when the rpm highs 3.5 but feel no power ...found out that the place i take my car to change my oil havent change my air filter when they say they do ,,,looked at it last night madd dirty,, so that means im been running this dirty filter for like 23k and i have 24k on the dash..taking my baby to the dealers ... oh yeah since im taking it to dealer what do u guy recommend..what fluid should i change first havent change anything besides oil.. i have 24k on the meter so ...again thanks for all the help..this my first evo so bear with me

 

Tranny, both diffs, and transfer case. Make sure the dealer uses Mitsu fluids not pensoil or whatever they normally use. Suggestion, do it yourself if your capable. The IX uses specific fluids for the 6 speed tranny. Dont substitute. Also, the oil is very easy to change on a Evo, get the shorty plastic ramps at walmart and do it yourself. I suggest using a new crush washer at least every 2 oil changes if you down want a leaking oil pan.

 

i see...does anyone kknow how much the cost will be to change all the fluid dont want to get ripped off by the dealer .....

Yup. Especially when there is an easy way to check for a leak in the intake system in your driveway in about 5 minutes...

Or when its under warrantee and all you gotta do is take it in!
