Coupe lancer evo.......Need advice

Well i finally joined this site after just stopping by for info......but i didnt own a evo just a mirage with some mods. Now i have a mirage with a evo swap. So i figured i could be considered a evo type owner lol . Plus will own a real evo soon.

Well the car is not finished yet but moves a whole lot. Car only weights in at just over 2400 pounds. Thats with no one in it so power to weight is nice but is only FWD right now. Thats where the advice is needed..... .......how hard would you guys think making it AWD be. How different is the Evo 5 engine to the 8 since i dont know much. I know one mirage who did it and has a evo 8 bottom and the trans with i think not sure, a evo 5 t-case.

Now i have tried looking and will continue but any info is gratefully accepted or links for that matter. Well hope i dont get to burnt here and hope you like the pics guys.

O yea love the Forum.

Here is my Mini-Evo beast......

Nice so I take it your swapping the driveterain also? Keep posting pics on your progress. Good luck with it man. It would be real nice to basically have evo but 700 lbs lighter Send a PM to Amstuning. They have a mirage evo swap too. Full powerterain and driveterain swap. I am not sure if its theres or a customers

wow..that looks great..wasn't there a magazine that did an article on something similar to that....he did a swap including awd system. from what i remember, the rear suspension was what the guy had a lot of work he had to do. he had to do a lot of welds and stiffening and all that i think. i just can't remember which magazine it was.

I think you are talking about Modified Mag November 06
In that one there is a coupe mirage with a AWD evo swap.
I have that mag.....i know that guy, he is the one that built mine,
so yes it was bought with the swap already.

The swap well it is a never ending price. The engine was like 4 grand or
alittle less and with swap you are looking at 7-8 grand, but with AWD
its more. So since i bought the car with the swap i figure i finish with
the AWD.

Thanks for checking out my car guys. I cant wait to see everyones cars
on the site i know there is so many. So much info on this forum its grea

Here is the link to the car im referring to in the Magazine, this guy use to
own my car so if you look you will see old pics of my car when it was a
1.8 sohc turbo mirage engine and then swapped......first pages is the other
mirage evo swap with awd.
