doesnt really matter much if its cold or warm out when you tint. its just if its warmer out, the adhesive will cure quicker. BUT, if your windows freeze at night. dont tint your windows. might get bubbles..i plan on tinting my windows myself too..everyone says get it professionally done, but its cuz they dont know how to do it. well good luck with that, its gonna look 10x better after you get it tinted!

I've got 20% all around and it looks good. It's illegal in IL to have the front driver/passenger side windows with tint, but I haven't had a problem with that yet. 20% looks really dark in cloudy weather and you can still see in with a little effort in the sun. As far as the cold, I agree with the bubbles comment if your car freezes, however the tint should be close enough to dry when you leave the shop. The time period will be longer before the windows can be rolled down if it's colder outside.
As for just putting it on in the cold, i dont really know how well it sticks, i got mine professionally done so they had a heated garage
