New Here-Considering Purchase of MR..Questions

I currently lease a 2004 Acura TL 6MT. It is coming up on lease as of May 21st. I test drove the 5 speed version and was amazed at the handling and the power of this car. I am seriously considering the MR as my next purchase. Few questions:

1. Does anyone lease this car?? I guess it is better to buy? I want to keep my payment between $4 and 500 with this car. Is this possible????

2. Can I opt without the wing, or replace a different style of wing???

Thanks!!

you arent allowed to lease an Evo. It's better better to buy, even if you could lease. It restrains you from mods...if you're into that kinda thing.

What kind of down payment are you looking at? Also, do you want a MR or a MR SE? I think you can fight a MR SE down to $32,999, or thats what I got it down to.

You can take the wing off...not that hard...or you can just get the RS...which I dont recomend unless you are really into hardcore races and dont mind rolling down your windows with your hand. Also, you can get a diffrent wing if you would like...APR makes some good ones.

I would really recomend the SE since the 5-speed tranny is much stronger than the 6 speed. It's the same thing, only not 6-speed and no blistein shocks. You get the fancy rims, HIDs, red stitching. The only other thing you dont get is the Vortex Genorator and Gurney Flap.

Hope I could help

Hopefully you get it.

Evo's are not avaliable to lease. Your monthly entirely depends on your down payment with the term that you finance over and your interest rate.

Yeah most dealers will frown upon the idea of leasing
mainly due to the simple fact that Mitsubishi Corp.doesn't
want the cars back lol. If you don't want the wing the
only model to get is the rare RS instead of the MR.

Cheers

The handling isn't drastically different. The Bilsteins are nice, but now that the SE is available, the MR is no longer worth it.

or you could buy the MR and take out the wing and sell it.

get the MR the car handles awesome. little softer than the grs or rs but its easier on your back on long trips and daily driving.

i love my MR

You could always just call your local Evo dealership to find out if they'll lease it, but I'm with everyone else. I don't think they do. What's wrong with the wing?

I actually like the wing but my wife cant stand it. I am 29 and she always thinks I will out grow this (in her terms) "racing image" but if I can get the car and please her at the same time it would be great! LOL>

I would buy the car because I do want to mod it and I heard there is so much to do, so I my as well have fun with it.

Any help on what people pay monthly...I dont want to put more than $2500 down.

Thanks for all of your resonses

This is Mitsu's finance calculator...It may come in handy and/or give you a rough idea what to expect ...
http://www.mitsubishimotors.com/MMNA.../calculator.do

As for me, I financed through my local credit union and got a rate of 4.5% (It was 4.25, but they increased them).

Monthly I have to pay about $450 or so...But I pay a lot more than that.

i recently just bought an 06 OZ for 16.8 or what ever the sticker price is after all was said and done it was about 17800 we put a 1800 down payment so the actual amount financed was 16000 and my payments are 270 a month considering that car you looking to get is more then double what i paid you would need a good sized downpayment to get the range you want im thinking.

I was thinking down the same lines as you when I bought the car. Fits wifes wishes, fits my wishes, perfect! Not. She will always hate it. She'll love to drive it, but as soon as the clutch goes out and you fork over $900 bucks to have it replaced. She will be its worst enemy. When your tranny dies because your Mitsu techs suck. She will hate it even more. When you've spent more on the car then her engagement ring, she will hate it. If it's not a toy car and you don't have a daily driver, don't buy it.

But they are great to drive. I love mine.
