Something is Seriously wrong
interestingly, valvetrain noise should be heard regardless of throttle position. are you hearing this noise ONLY when you floor it? or even when the car is idling can you hear the ticking coming from the engine?
does your car feel fast? or are you missing power? i can understand the need to lift when you start to hear funny noises.

my car made the same noise but was a totally different problem, it was actually the wastegate bolts were a little loose and was puttering like the baseball card in the spokes.......don't know if it is relevant but might be worth checking out
Dude, I seem to remember seeing a post along time ago about having to trim the inside of the plastic timing belt cover to clear after market timing gears. You could take a quick look at that. Otherwise, my lifters only ticked for a couple hundred miles after my cam install and the noise went away. How many miles have you driven it since the install?
Good luck!
Good luck!
take the car back to the shop that installed the cams, i would not be satisfied if i just spent an arm and leg and the car is acting up. they should fix it for you right away

i will check that and i do not have a wideband but i will be getting one. my master tech heard the noise over the phone and said he thinks a liofter may be busted. Would I have to remove the cams to change the lifters and will this harm my tune
yes you need to remove the cam to remove a lifter, and if the car was tuned with the lifter working properly, the tune will be fine. if it was tuned for a broken lifter you may need to fix the tune too
whats the lift on the cams? if they are 11 or above the stock retainers need to be changed or at hight RPM or WOT load they smack agaist the seats....leading to bad news.
Cosworth and other agro cams need to have the stock retainers changes (i would just do springs too for a 8500RPM limit) even though the company says no, i disagree.....
