Intake Problems

hey everyone i've had a 04 evo VIII for three weeks now and she's got a bit of a problem. the flexable tubing that comes from the intake manifold keeps coming off when i drive. i know for a fact that the hose clamp is tight enough but the tube keeps popping off, i took it to the dealer once and still its happened two more times. anyone know any remedies for this? i'm going to put an intake on in the future but until then i don't know what to do.

Which flexible tubing are you referring to? If it's the upper intercooler pipe, it's common. Double clamp it, or clean down the connection and spray some hairspray on it, it'll stick.

it could be the upper intercooler hose, never thought about that. it came off last night and now the check engine light is on and it sort of idles like **** for a little bit. the lip that the hose is on doesn't seem to be wide enough for two clips.

Take a picture of the pipe... you can't safely drive your car at all if any of these are leaking, it's almost like saying you'll drive around with 1 lugnut on. Risk of utter failure and a dead car in the middle of the freeway gives me nightmares.
