did anyone buy the extended warranty deal when they purchased there IX??? if so do you guys think its worth it considering all the mods which most of us will end up doing??? for example..when i got my MR from Concord Mitsu..i opted for the extended warranty from them..well not from them but a company they dealt with (The Mechanic...company name) the cost was $2500 and terms are 120months/100,000 miles, from what the contract states it turns everything to 10yrs/100k mi....so whatever Mitsu doesnt cover they will..supposedly! anyways do you guys think its worth it or should i just cancel or keep it..keep im mind that heavy mods (not just simple bolt-ons) are on the way fairly soon. feedback greatly appreciated

 

cancel it.. i thought our cars already came with 100,000 mile warranty..thats wut i got... i didnt have to pay extra.. and they will void ur warranty as soon as you mod it anyways...

 

Cancel it! Mit sucks with warranty. putting even slightest mod will avoid your warranty.

 

as far as im aware our cars..well atleast the IX's if you bought it brand new do have a 10yr/100k warranty..but theres a catch, thats only for the powertrain, 5yr/60k bumper to bumper, 7yr/100k anti-corrosion and 5yr/unlimited road side assistance...see now with the $2500 "extended warranty" package that im being charged for is suppose to make all of the above 10yr/100k...but regardless im now thinking twice since im gonna end up voiding the warranty anyways...that sucks....anyways im canceling it tomorrow! lol

 

My Mitsu dealer is great with mods. I've had warranty claims on both my cars. 1 is heavily modified and the other is slightly modded. But I would say def cancel and take the $2500 and spend it on something useful.... oh and find a Mitsu dealer that isn't as bad with mods.

 

My dealer isn't that bad with mods... then again all my mods are exhaust/intake/minor mods and the problems i've had are strictly suspension.. so go figure...
