okok, i will tell u that the evo isn't known for its amazing comfort/looks (although some would disagree) but for performance (which it delivers); in your case health might be more important so you may want to get the sti for its more comfy interior and as you say smoother acceleration.

you also may want to seriously consider getting more of a luxury car that doesn't compromise performance, the 07 speed3's are nice

Dude, I have a total fusion of the L4-L5...and drive the MR. I luv the recaros, I've sat in many various seats and cars But I luv the way the EvoMR holds my back in place. As a person that knows what you're going thru get the MR. So you haven't bought the Evo yet.....settlement coming? Do your research, get the best price and the color you want....The MR has the Bilstein struts which are a tad bit softer than the Base Evos....I'm totally satisfied with my Purchase and ownership....I was going to buy the Subaru, but didnt like it at all. The Evo can obtain insane power easier IMHO...overall better power, handling, and great daily driver...any questions just ask...

Evo is more stiffer that is for sure the ride on the sti is more comfy, i was in the same debate like you STI or EVO,, after my research i decided on the EVO ix and i stand on it i do not regret it the EVO ix is the man,, specially if you are moding the Evo is so mod friendly ,, suby only give you 36k warranty Mitsu give you 100,000k whoaaa you cant' beat that ..

Recaro seats on the Evo give me a break you wont get the lumbar confort that recaro gives you on the evo

subie tranny is weak at 1st and 2nd gear at least in the 2006 model sti

ask any guy that knows about cars and they will tell you Evo all the way, at least the guys that know what they are talking about

not all true, not all guy will say Evo. but since he's asking "Evo or Not to Evo" from an EVO FORUM...of course, we'll all say "go with the Evo". i hope, he gets that by now. and in case he ask for the comparison of the two, he'll more likely to recieve replies such as "search" or "there have been a million thread about this."

Sti for your needs... it's a much easier car to live with because it's less raw.
