used S2K? or used EVO?
+1
(I would never buy a USED turbo car, especially a mitsu just like another member said)
Plus, I have a MY06 S2k and bought it new.. this car is really fun to drive.. Especially with the high revving VTEC, and the gearbox which is not comparable to any car I have driven, the S2k is a lot "easier" to drive and more fun..
HOWEVER, I just picked up a 06 IX SE and the EVO is a blast to drive as well.. AWD TURBO is really fun.. I just cant see myself getting rid of the S2k.. EVO is faster than the S2k.
Drive both of them, see which one you like better. Afterall, its your $$$

Funny I was asking myself this exact same question not too long ago. I did a little bit of research, and this is what I came up with. I had originally planned on buying a used s2k mainly for the price.(By the way don't listen to the people sayin never buy a used sports car..although it doesn't match the Evo in numbers, Honda's s2000 is still a sports car). I found a white '04, low miles, great shape. I planned on hard-topping it with a Comptech blower, nice set of wheels and I'd call it quits. But then I thought about what I'd be getting for my money. I'm an average joe in the financial world, I make decent money, but have to juggle it between my bills, girlfriend(who's also a bill herself sometimes), and I try my best to get some money to my mother every month to make sure she isn't going without anything she needs. I started looking at how much I would have to invest in either car, in order to get the speed I wanted. Let's face it, bolt on's on an s2000 just don't give the power per dollar that a boosted vehicle will. Do you really want to spend $700-$1000 on an exhaust to gain 6whp? Intake's do nothing for this car, neither do alot of other bolt ons. Your getting Honda's best engineering here, there isn't horsepower waiting to be free'd up on the f20/f22 motors. Honda already found it. So pretty much the only way to crack the 300whp mark on a lightweight s2000 is coming at the expense of a $5,500+ forced induction set up. Now take that same price tag, and think of what you can do with an Evolution with $5,500. there's countless set-ups you can run on the Evo with that money, but I'm pretty sure most of them will leave you well above the 450awhp mark. 450awhp>310rwp even if the s2k is lighter. People love to talk about the s2000's sex appeal. How sexy is it when you'r girl wants to bring one of her friends along with you two somewhere. Not so sexy sittin in her driveway while your behind the wheel of her car now is it? Honda made the s2000 look awesome with the '04-07 models, more aggresive front and rear bumpers, nice wheels, more responsive motor(by the way just because the motor no longer revs to 9000rpm, it's still in vtec for the same amount of rpm's, it just engages earlier), but then again if you are buying a car for chicks (not that I'm implying you are) you're in the wrong forum, as this one is geared towards performance. Want speed and still want chicks to dig your ride? Buy an evo and waste money on an uneeded blow off valve, they seem to dig the sound.
People love to talk about the handling of the s2000, near 50/50 weight distribution, excellent steering ratios, etc.. while I cannot deny the handling capabilities of the s2000 (I've driven a few myself) let's not forget the Evo is no slouch either. s2000 60mph-0 braking:115ft. Evo 60-0:110ft( Evo:1 S2K:0 ) S2000 0-60mph: 5.4seconds Evo: 4.8seconds ( Evo:2 S2K:0 ) Lateral skid pad S2000: .91g Evo: .98-99g ( Evo:3 S2K:0 ). Standing quarter mile S2000: 13.9@100.2mph Evo:13.1@105.1 (Evo:4 S2k: 0). Honda's track bred roadster is gettin beaten by a sedan. Now I remember collecting all this information, just like you probably are. And even though everything was pointing towards the Evo, I was still in love with the thought of having the only supercharged s2000 in town, and it's gear box was like nothing I have ever driven before. What made my final decision for me? My buddy Ray calling me at 630 one night saying the following. "Hey, I need a favor..my wife asked me to pick up a large pizza she ordered on my way home. I got one problem..I can't fit it in the car, not even the trunk!" That was all I needed to hear to make my mind up..So I'll close this with one last statement. EVOLUTION FTMFW!!

+1 for the S2K...
It`ll be cool to own both!!! Im trying to unload my RSX-S for a Evo. But i like the way my s2000 looks better than the EVO IX. But more power on the EVO 9. Ive always like the sedan sports though.

they're two totally different world. it depends which one you like better. i bet that the evo was beat on more than the s2k...and that the s2k is is better condition from the beating (hondas are strong)
This is an Evo Forum, you know what people here are going to say. But add me to the list. Get the EVO.
Think about it, how many Evo's and S2000s do you usually see on the road more often...the evo's are always exciting to run into.

Just my personal preference but I think the EVO is a better looking car then the
S2000. I dont like converibles and I think the Evo looks more aggressive. You dont need me to tell you which performs better, the S2000 isnt even in the same league as an Evo.

Actually the S2000 handling is near or equal to the EVO, it just takes a better driver to harness it.
Dude your on the EVO forum. If you go to the S2ki forum youll get the "get the s2k"
Its all up to you want you want out of a car. Me i picked the car cause i like the fact of a 4 door. And i am a mitusbishi fan till the end.
