Hey all, first post here on EvoM. I really like the look of the Evo VI rear wing and was wondering if anyone has put one on a VIII or IX. Will it fit on the trunk? I tried searching the forums for a while and came up with nothing. Anyone ever looked into this?

No the trunks are way different. The rest of the car is the same but the trunk is like 4 inches off of what the rest of the car is..

What is your question?

Will the Evo 9 wing fit on the Evo 8?

Or will wing fit on a Lancer? your first post and your in the EVO general..

The wing will fit direct bolt on to the trunk of a lancer Evo 8 and 9 are the smae in shape size and little different in carbon treatment. If you have an RS you would have to have it drilled.

 

Reading owns you. His question is very straight forward. Will an Evo VI wing fit on a Evo VIII or Evo IX trunk? I doubt it because the body styles are different but am not entirely sure.

I've seen them on 02-03 lancers...which have the same trunks as the evo's.

 

Thanks for the responses guys, I dont think theres anything wrong with the stock wing I just really like the looks of the wing on the VI better, i think it's a little more agressive and also I have never seen it done and I'd like to have something a little different on my car. I found a replica here http://www.wickedbodies.net/Universal-Wings.html and dimensions of the mounts are given though I'd prefer to have the real thing and not a replica.

Thunder you say you've seen it on regular lancers, do you have any pics or know any more details on this?
