Hey,
Just got my 2005 Evo8. Real excited, but I can't drive it yet. I bought it rolled and I am in the process of Restoring it. My speedometer goes to 140 mph and i noticed everyone elses goes to 170. Why is this? And I bought a siebon carbon fiber hood. I thought it would come with plastic covers for the vents..... It didn't. What do I do if rains? Are hood pins Needed?

Far as the hood if you have the stock heatshield it should be ok. Water will get down there anyways.
WEIRD- Are you sure the speedo hasn't been tampered with? Any Pics??
As for the hood vent, you can buy aftermarket ones and as stated before it will get wet in the rain regardless, just clean the engine when you detail it

Ah...sure that its an Evo. Pics please. Check for AWD and whatnot (aka engine, seats, wider fenders, Brembos all around...you know standard Evo things...)

Well I cannot link the pics - wont let me. But see the differences between the ES-Ralli-Evo? Notice the tach and speedo locations and numbers. The colors are different, but you can see what you have there...
