Question MBC and Custom Tune ? ? ?

My question is, with a MBC installed and a custom tune is the tune specific to the particular setting of the MBC, in which case do you not adjust the boost control after a tune ? Sorry if this sounds stupid, I am just a little confused ? Also with a custom tune, exhaust, filter, and fuel pump what PSI is safe to run on an otherwise stock motor ? ? ? I an in two minds to either just get the tune with all my other stuff or also incorporate a MBC to up boost a little but I do not want to run into engine issues from running too much boost ? ? ?

Thanks in advance,
MarK.

if you have an viii you can run 20-22 psi safely with a ix people run up to 25 psi safely (I run 23 psi)

get the mbc pre-tune so that you get tuned for that specific psi level

you can always adjust it afterwards

down - when it gets cooler to prevent spiking
up - if you go to the track and run race gas

etc

all this info could probably have been found searching but I'm feeling generous

First off, I appreciate your generosity - LOL - I did actally try the search function however seemed unable to find the answer specifically to my question.
So you are saying the tune is done for a specific boost level. That being said will the ECU compensate for adjusted boost if I choose to turn it up or down or in the ideal world would I want a specific tune for each particular boost pressure setting ? I can see the point of the MBC in relation to increasing boost but when used in conjunction with a custome tune should it not be adjusted after the custom tune without another tune specific to your new setting ? Just a little confused, sorry. Also would I still be safe running up to 23 psi without the addition of upgraded head bolts or would this be advised ?

Thanks,
MarK.

I would set the boost where you want it and let the tuner dial in the timing/fuel for that and leave it alone. I think it would be a mistake to assume that you can crank the boost up and be okay.
