Well let me say that I've finally saved enough money to buy my evo... YAY!!!!!!

BUTT...

just last summer our family car was stolen, I have no idea howw.... These guys took out the street light and then the next morning our car was gone. No glass on the floor. Im thinking they maybe hot wired it? it was a Big commercial van (ford). Can anybody share how these street lights go out? and posibilties of how my car got stolen???


ANYWAYS.... Just yesterday 3 consecutive streetlights on my block were out ONCE AGAIN..... AND GUESS WHAT.... A brand new 06 maxima and a accord lx ALL THERE WHEELS WERE STRIPPED OFF.. leaving them standing on bricks.... THis got me so angry.... I cant believe these grimy AS*WHOL*S. I really hate the fact that people work hard to make a honest living and yet we have these Fckers to always fck everyhting up... Im sorry about the profanity but I am so angry...

Well yea.. but im planning to buy a evo at the end of this month. Unfortunately i have no garage, and always have LOOK for a parking spot, which could be a block somtimes 2 blocks away from my site.... I read about these python alarms on the forum. I mean they sound like they may discourage a theif, but comon ITS A EVO.. they will do ANYTHING to get there hands on it. Im not so worried about the hood or trunk, as for i know there are locks for them, and window sensors. but im scared of my wheels. and the chance of getting it towed or hot wired.

I read that hot wiring a evo wont get too far but I hear it is still possible. I am very very scared... scared to the point where i might not even buy a evo... and just settle for a... a........a.......BEETLE.... omg please guys, I need some advice, some tips, some standard saftey procedures, SHARE SOMTHING with me. IM SO freaked out.

Get a good alarm and tilt sensors and a 2 way pager . But if they want your car bad enough it wont matter what you have. Dont live your life paranoid man. What happens happens.

 

get an alarm.... or why not just move. and if your so worried about your wheels, keep em stock and get some wheel locks

 

i'll share something... DONT BUY THE EVO... that isht is going to get jacked or jacked up.

not to mention you will get like 5 minutes of sleep every night.

save the money for a house in a better area.

You need to calm down, and figure out a good solution to keep your car safe.

Regardless of how safe you think your car is it can always be stolen, good luck.

 

I would say move if you can just for security purposes. Man I get paranoid about my Evo when I am in a movie I couldn't imagine leaving it on a street like that! Or you could take out the wall to your living room and put a garage door there and pull that sh*t in at night!

 

oh yes. the evo will be their next victim. theyll make a lot of money out of it for sure. i wouldnt buy it if i was in your situation. unless you have a garage.

 

Either move to another location or don't buy the car. An alarm will just slow them down, or it will **** them off to the point that they trash your car. Just wondering if you've thought about auto insurance costs. The already high cost due to people always crashing their Evos is going to be even higher because you're in a very high rish area for theft.

 

Get a garage and a hand gun.

 

When I got my second evo, I was living in a very very crappy area of mesa AZ. Cops at my apartments every night, heck the apartment golf cart got stolen right in front of me!!! I never had a prob either I think it was cause I have an RS. (no wing no sign) And I never used any alarm, dumb i know.

One move to better area. Two take off wing if its parked outside. three; 12 gauge, low jack, alarm and wheel locks! Good luck and congrats!!!

 

you live in nyc do not get an evo unless you have a garage bro....im telling you now if the stripped the stock wheels of a maxima(im assuming..lol my girl has an 06 herself)theyre definitley gonna **** with the evo....and you know your bumpers are gonna get f$##$d up.... why even buy it lol

 

not only do you live in NY, you live in flushing.. jeez.. i would never buy a evo and park it near the street unless i have a garage with steel bars around it!
