jerking while cruising in 1st and 2nd gear

hey guys,
i drive on 405 freeway every day to work, this means pretty much stop-and-go 10-15 mph fro 40 min.

most of the time i'm in 1st or 2nd gear....cruising.
i know every car has this because of the ratio of the first 2 gears, but how can i decrease the jerking that you get when you accelerate or decelerate?
i believe evo suffers even more from this due to heavy AWD.

basically the car bucks when on and off throttle.

i already have front motor mount AND top engine dampener. these helped with shifting and throttle response, but the bucking is still there.
would i have to get stiffer transmission mounts?

any input is appreciated

Why would you jerk at such low gears? Just get up on the Highway and drop it in 5th at speed or 6th if your Baller status like me in the MR and then unzip and let'r rip.

Why in Gods name would you jerk at such a low speed, you cruising your neighborhood streets after school lets out of something?

Good question, mine does this as well. I'm pretty sure its common with the Evo, would be nice to get rid of some of it.

Quit riding the gears out. When I slow down I'm in neutral with the clutch out, there's no point to use the gear to slow down, just waste's gas.

well i mean when u;'re in traffic it never actually slows down to a stop, u kinda have to keep rolling.
and engaging and disengaging clutch every time you slow down or speed up doesnt make sense.
better to stay in gear.

my question is can i get rid of the jerking....or at least minimize it?
does REAR motor mount take most of the abuse?
or are transmission mounts more important in this case?

thanks.
