Launching would have been my first guess but you said it wasn't launched. My only guess would have to be excesive heat combined with alot of power.

With an aftermarket clutch, I don't think you would have that problem unless you always launched your car. The ACT is pretty good. Just make sure you break it in before you get on it real good. It grabs real hard and chatters a bit before it breaks in. After that, it should feel pretty much like stock.

What clutch was the first one? 6 puck sprung hub cerametallic, but by what manufacturer?

man are you sure that thing only had 900 mi. It looks like hell. how does the flywheel look? Did you have the metal dowels in it??? I dont know.

+1 ^ the flywheel must have suffered some negative effects from that type of destruction. All I can figure is some type of issue eith the clutch prior to use during manufactuing to have those results.
