as far as it goes for me, both are cool. i have several friends with evo's and sti's. i have acutally had another evo owner that lives in the same area of base housing as me follow me home one afternoon to talk cars. but usually either way it goes, we always wave or flash here.

 

I've nodded and/or waved at WRX/STi owners before, but none have waved back yet. They usually look away. Every Evo I've waved at has waved back & smiled (I think I've seen 4 or 5 here in the central valley)...

 

i get waves from evo owners half the time...and once in a while from a STI.
but its always the v dubs with the 1.8ts and srt4 always revving at me.

 

I experience the same thing all the time. Other Evo owners never waved to me but STi owner does. I have no idea why

 

I wave to suby owners and some suby owners wave to me.

true its not liek cvivics, but everyone and their moms drives evos in socal

 

I saw a man who looked like he was at least 60+ years of age driving a Subaru. I thought that was pretty cool

 

well i live in socal area and i can tell you i only see like 4 in my area. which i figured would be higher. i think there i a larger amount in OC area

 

Alot of times at night I don't realize I am driving past another evo until I am next to it. Subbys the same thing. But I wave or give a thumbs up to everyone with a cool car, or if they wave or give me a thumbs up. Today A 3rd gen supra Flashed his lights and waved I waved back. Only time I got snubbed was when I came up next to a subby STI at a stop light and My windows were already down and so were his, He was looking at my car going ohh its an evo in his head I guess. I Said you got a nice car, trying to start a good thing, and he said "so whats it to you." in a sort of sarcastic voice. Its pretty annoying when people are not respective of other car enthusiasts, were all alike just we prefer or drive different cars. If there was no evo I would be in a STI.

 

If there was no Evo, I would be a Z06. STI........Not.........

 

i agree. i think people forget that we all share the same passion.

 

If there was no evo I'd be in an S2000 or Lotus Elise. or maybe a 03/04 Cobra

 

90% of evo owners have given me a wave but I am batting a .000 with STI owners...kinda makes you feel stupid when you wave and they dont wave back.
Srt-4s around here always rev and Mustangs for that matter.

 

I always try and get this older guy in a silver evo to wave after work. It's been a about 3 months and no success yet.

 

It's cause those squiddies didn't take the msf class and just run off of permits. The msf class actually instructs you to wave at other riders .
