i went to the delership to get a oil filter and i think the hardass at the counter got me one for a lancer and not a evo. the part # is MZ690116. thats not the right oil filter number is it? i think it should be MZ690072. am i correct?

 

its going to be the short fat filter...which fits the 2.4 lancer

if you got one for like a 2.0 lancer, its going to be a long skinny filter

 

Do a search, there was a post somewhere listing part numbers for different filters.

 

part number for evo filter is MZ690116 i got it from lancershops website.

 

just to to any autoparts store and get the K&N oil filter, i think its 1010 part number.
