I have a real bad problem. I have an EVO VIII that I have just purchased from a welll known EVO enthusiasts. It has a lot of work done to a rebuilt engine all helped along by AMS and Bushur teams. Now this is the problem. There is a slight knocking engine noise that is coming from mainly the top portion. I have been knowledgeable in the car but this one has me going crazy. I have checked the oil pan and there are no signs of loose bearings. The car will still go into gear bu that knocking has me turning the car off immediately. Any trouble shooting ideas thta can help me save my car?

 

Take it to a shop who knows what they are doing.

Are you sure you're just not hearing injector tick?
