New Evo IX Owner

Hi guys,

I'm a long time car enthusiast of many brands, and first time owner of a Japanese automobile. I got my EVO from a Shanghai Dealer last week, the specs are here:
http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.cn/...fications.html

There are only 2 versions of trim in Shanghai, with a $1300 difference in price, the only difference in trims is the wheel size, a 10 spoke 16" wheel from Germany and the upgraded 14 spoke 17" wheel from Japan. I got the one with the 14 spoke and in black paint. I'll post pictures soon. The cost was around 55K US in Shanghai for this car not including the tax and registration/plates. It didn't even come with a CD player, I was going to put a great system in there anyways. The acceleration is amazing as you guys all know. Its by far the fastest car I've had, my SLK230 would come in second. I noticed it was a little harder to peel out in this car as opposed to my Peugeot 307 (w/o) using handbrake.

What kind of upgrades do you guys suggest (interior/exterior/engine)? Where should I be looking at? eBay? I strongly do not want the car to look more of a "ricer" than it already is. The problem is that in China, cars over 15K US are 95% automatic, and no one drives manual, I was lucky to find that the EVO was in manual and that is more than 50% of why I chose it. What tips and tricks should I be considering with my new ride, and what things should I do to maximize my experience with this car? Also, what is this car's equivalent in the US or UK (look at the specs from the link above)? Its imported from Japan.

Thanks a lot!

Congrats! Hope you'll enjoy the ride. Use Advance search for modifications. There's Vendors here too. Just a suggestion that was handed to me. Get all your Parts then get a Tune. Also modification could void your warranty. Good luck and have fun safely!
