Turboback or Catback?
Which would be a better choice in the long run i guess? I have an evo IX but i am on a budget and i am still looking for a first mod. And of course if money wasnt the issue i would do turboback but is there really that much of a difference. I am not doing like professonial racing or looking for insane HP. So would catback do just fine?

Catback and testpipe would do you fine if your on a budget.....getting rid of the restrictive stock cat will give you more power.
Then you can always add a dp later if you wish.......

not even a question. turboback, just look for good deals. I got my downpipe for 100, high flow for 70. and a tanabe ultra Ti for the amazing price of 150. hell of a good deal for a turboback.

TBE........straight pipe all the way, just get a good muffler to deepen the sound so it doesent sound ricey......... but yeah like everyone else said its a waste of money to just get a catback...
evos are high maintenance, so give her what she wants or give her up..........LOL

No you dont NEED a tune for a TBE but as you said it helps. You could just reset your ECU by disconnecting your neg battery terminal for 20 minutes just to be on the safe side. I have read on these forums that it's a good idea to reset your ECU after adding any mods. Not sure if its needed for an exhaust. If your on a budget, get the new megan Dp (I got it and it fits great with ACD) and a cheap 3" catback from Ebay or somewhere. Also Machevo.com has a nice stainless piece that I got on mine for a couple hundred.
