They installed my cams and headstuds for around $300 bucks. Plus the $500 tune and the $530 cams. So im not sure what the deal is. It's also better if you buy the cams and headstuds through them to get a better hourly rate. They are very reasonable guys.

+1 bigtime....why break a your motor's nice factory seal to replace headbolts that don't need replacing? All you're doing is increasing your risk of something going wrong opposed to shooting for 350whp on the factory head bolts. Just have the cams dropped in, forget about the headbolts and you'll be closer and safer to attaining your goal Also what exactly are "AMS cams," they have their own grind? FWIW I had gsc s1's dropped in for $175 on my IX. It it's definitely a 1 hour to 1 1/2hr job tops with someone who knows what their doing and the car cooled off.

 

can i drive the car after putting in cams with out a tune?

I know i need the tune to get the most power...but lets say could i have them installed drive for a week then have it tuned?
