sup guys. iam new on here. just bought an 06 IX. i am new to car tuning, but not a total noob. i am looking to get some mods going. i know there are a lot of smart people on here that have plenty of experince with the EVO's. and they know whichs mods are good, and worth doing, instead of just doing bull**** and just wasting time+money. i was on buschurracing the other day, and i was looking at the pure power package upgrade. comes with like exhaust, cams, MBC, timeing belt, intake kit and ecu reflash. i wanted to know if this would be a good place to start, for some power. anybody have an idea of wat kind of numbers i can expect with this setup?

 

any of the staged packaged from buschur or ams are a great place to start. They suspense with all the BS and go right where you need to for power. timing belt i dont think was on there anywhere though or i dont know why it would be... cams are a little early unless you have all of the other mods first. full exhaust, mbc, drop in filter, licp

 

Good stuff to know. I was hoping EVO's had the same 'staged' power as subaru's do. It should make my leap into DSM tuning a little less expensive and frustrating. Lesson learned on the wrx, rofl.

 

same staged power is an understatement, if it were the same, the STI's around this place wouldnt get such a good luck at my rear bumper.... the staged power is far more then what you get in the suby community

 

You will be pleasently suprised how well the IX will respond to small mods as long as a good tune is had with the mods
