Im Brian and Im a caraholic. Im here because I test drove an 2003 Evo 8 yesterday and just want to make an informed decision. This one had a Blitz intake and a Blitz blow off valve other than that it was stock and yellow in color, with 50k miles. It was really fun but I dont know if I want it yet. Some of the other cars on my list are C5 Vettes, and LS1 Fbodies, these are the top 3 on my list.

I hope to learn a lot while I spend my spare time here. Is there anything I should know about the '03s or look extra close at?

They wanted $23,9xx for it. I dont know if that is a good price or not, I actually stopped to look at a Corvette but they wanted a lot for that. I think if I could get it for $18,000 I would probably do it.

 

seriously i think thats a little too high of a price for that mileage. im sure you can find a lower price

My girlfriend just got n 03 evo 8 with 47k for only 19k.. in perfect condition, almost stock.. beautiful car.

tell them your not willing to pay anymore then 19, and go highest 20.

look on autotrader for used evos at good prices, or look in her @ the cars for sale section if you rlooking for a good used evo at a nice price..

Agreed, price is a little high. Get the Evo, c5's are a dime a dozen lol

 

i bought my TB evo 8 for 20k... 38,500 miles on it... and the guy babied it as far as i can tell... Look a little more and you will find one. i dont suggest a dealer though, they TOTALLY rip you off... look private like online and local papers. i would have traveled FAR to find the right evo man, dont settle on anything less than what you want!!!

P.S. go with the evo... i roll on F-Bodies no problem, especially from a dig... and as goes for both of them, try taking a turn at more than 60... then tell me what happens, lol.... you know the way to go!!!

 

Well I am going to pass on the one I just saw. I think it would be better to wait until I am truly ready to buy and have enough saved for a huge down payment or enough to pay for it. And plus I am in the process of starting a new business, Ill just do the smart thing and wait.

I will spend time here reading so when I go to look at one again I know what I am talking about.
