I have a stock 2003 evo VIII with only one modification a vishnu catback exhaust. AMS ran a baseline dyno for me and got 286 whp and 275 torque. Another tuner said this was almost impossible with a stock evo 8 and felt that the dyno was off. any comments on this?

 

um either u have more mods than u think or something is wrong with the dyno

stock 03's pull like 225-235 (dynojet) 210 (mustang)

AMS has a Dynojet

 

most likely dyno is way off, if that's the only mods you have then you should make around 230whp

 

guess i need to have ams look at what has been done to the ecu maybe previous owner did a flash and didnt tell me

 

maybe you have cams???

 

Enough said...previous owner. Probably forgot to mention the cams, flash, larger hotside?, etc etc.

could it be a factory freak evo!!! nah.. it'd be cool though
