new evo owner
Well guys i just picked up a 2005white EVO 8 SSL for 22.5k with 40k on the odo.
I was gunna check out the rx-8 and the gto when i ran across this little thing...I couldn't pass up the price vs what i was gunna spend on the other cars. I've been running my z at HPDE and auto-x...and wanted a good DD/auto-x/HPDE..not so serious. I got my EVO with the imfamous 12psi mod..lol..(missing MBC), and HKS exhaust, boost guage, turbo timer and APS BOV. I've turned alot of wrenches on my Z, but this is my first turbo car, and my first AWD car...and my first 4 door car...haha.
Previously all i've driven are NA rwd Zs, and miatas
I've owned a couple 240zs, one 280z, a couple 280zxs, NA & NB miatas. So this Evo is new to me totally but i'll get comfortable. I need to learn the turbo process quite a bit more though...i lack on turbo knowledge. I will get there though, its comming along.
First mod: HP + brake pads all around
Next mod: MBC..so i could at least get to stock boost levels

Yeah i know the Rx-8 isn't no drag car...but it is an awsome handler. Since im no dragstrip junkie the Rx-8 seemed like a viable choice...and props to it. Though i know its much slower. This EVO is just better in every way though.
