hello again everyone and a happy thanksgiving to all....

just recently installed my megan dp for my IX...on the way home yesterday i noticed something vibrating/rattling underneath my car....the fitment was great and the dp cleared everything and we made sure several times that all the bolts were tight....

is this a normal occurance...? im worried that with all the vibration and rattling underneath something might break....sorry im really new at this and i've searched already about megan dp's and didnt come up with anything, mostly for sale stuff....

pls help me out...i drove around again this morning just to test it out and it still vibrated/rattled just like last night.....just asking if you guys had the same experience with this or any other brand of dp...and is there a way to fix it....?

the dp is hitting the bars underneath, get some spacers and the problem will go away

 

its the heat sheld...um bend it around and it will work. i did that and i have the dp

 

hello again evom, and thanks for the replies....put the car on the lift again this afternoon to check if the downpipe is hitting anything...we didnt see anything...it clears both bars underneath, clears the oilpan, and i'd say there's about .75 to 1cm distance to everything underneath.....

we made sure everything is tight again and drove around and still vibrated/rattled....is there any other fix to this problem, it really bugs and worries me but i dont want to put the stock one back....

i have the megan dp, stock cat, and hks hi power catback....pls help......

ummm it normal man i have the same and the only reason why its rattling it becuase its hittin the bars.... that or its rattlin against the hangars... i left my unconnected but hey man dont worry about it ((: its normal dont stress it

 

mine did it to but i noticed mine hitting the subframe piece....spacers on the bars helped my problem

 

i have the medan dp on my IX and you need spacers, trust me it's hitting the bars underneath. also make sure you put the bars back on right and not upside down.

 

id say get the spacers and heat wrap it too it kinda looks ugly when you wrap it but in a mean kinda way but others may disagree with the heat wrap

 

hello guys...thanks for the replies again...tried the spacers...still vibrated...i hear the vibration/rattle on 1st and 2nd on low rpms...could it be hitting the driveshaft....? anyone else encountered any problems like this....? if so, is there any way to fix that problem....? will it ruin the driveshaft if i just leave it the way it is and bear with the rattle...?

i had the same problem with my megan dp, and its from that one bar that runs across under the DP. everything appears to clear fine on installation but remember the purpose of a flex section
