bascailly what the title says. a mechanic linkd my evo up to a computer to chekc why the service light was on and he told us that the converter was broken and it wouldnt go past 40mph i realy dont know what to do right now. this is the 3rd day i had the car and its f**ken me up!!

that sounds like bs.....have you been able to go past 40?...I'm pretty sure you can. It's probably reading a temp. outside the threshold of what's in the ecu...throwing the code. Everyone gets one if they run a high flow cat/test pipe...

 

i really dont know but the service engine light is on right now and its in my cousins garage and were taken it back to the car dealer tom. deealer is called ama cars on harbinson ave and omg...their service is relaly bad aftr you buy a car -_- they pissed me off over this dumb ****

the car runs but its not great like how my cousins evo ix se is and when i downshift it makes a clak clak noise and it worries me because i can already tell right now the car was heavily modifed then put back to stock...

 

I would take the car back to the dealer and tell them you don't want it!

You would be better off buying a different car.

Don't keep it just because you want a Evo, find a better car to purchase.

 

true but they not taken returns and i was arguein with them then i got tired and gave the phone to my cousin then he started arguein and the dealer was like bring it back and tlak it out and i was going so please help me i really dont know what to do now and they said they want to correct the problem and stuff like that....

 

i agree, take it back tell them ur u cant afford this sh... and hold on.
let them keep talking and just say well , i just need to return this,
let them shoot crap nad just chill -dont listen.
then when they shut up - say well i need to return this car.
Do you have any 30 warrenty or anything like that.
if at the end of all of it, at the minimum get them the put on paper what problems they will fix. keep it generic like all transmission, etc...
act like u got all day and make sure u stand exactly where there is the most traffic,public walking close to u. dont let them take u anywhere, tell them u are fine where u stand and u got a problem and the dealership is not responding.
speak up when people walk close...

let them see u are calm and u arent going anywhere. stand at the front door if u have to and tel lsome to bring the manager to u!!!!! go get em

 

oh and take the car there open the hood and stand in front right in front of there door on the busiest day!!!
