Evo Turbos
Hey everyone, this is my first time on an auto forum outside of 3SI and I don't own an Evo (would love one tho as a dd) but I'm really interested in learning about the turbo's you guys use.
First off, I have a 3000GT VR4 and lately people have found great success with the Evo III 16g's (10.3s at 130+). I want to do it a little differently because I'm going to hopefully go 4.0 stroker (6g75 crank).
ANYWAYS this makes my turbo application very similar to your 2.0 situation. I'm really looking for some quick spool bb turbos (I doubt many of you swap turbos for similar power but quicker spool). I don't know what the Evo 9 turbo is, or when it spools, or any of these other things, which is why I'm here

Stock IX turbo is a twin scroll 16g w/ 10.5 hotside ... any specs outside of that I'm not sure of. I don't think it's a BB turbo.
In 4th gear I can hit 25 psi @ 3200 RPM ... this is with a tubular manifold, stainless O2 housing and TBE. I'm still using the stock intake box, paper filter and stock boost solenoid (controlled by ECU).
