I have a 2002 nissan se-r spec v ive been a part of this forum for a short time ive always loved evo's never owned one never even been in one i live in missouri i have a daily driver which is a 1997 toyota camry its reliable (although someone tried to break into it and steal my stock stereo ) its a good car for the winter i live in missouri so snow here is a big problem. Im only 18 still in highschool i have a small job on the side but other than that i make no money yes my dad did say after i sell my 2002 se-r spec v i can upgrade to something nicer and faster. Im in no means of spoiled i have great grades all that etc... Dont bash on me please im just looking for input im leaning towards a evo any model any year pretty much whatever i can get a good deal on the only worries is the induction on the hood rusting the intake manifold on the evo i live in missouri it rains here alot no garage for me .. i can get the following cars im still debating on them please let me know if you have one of this cars tell me input on it why or why i shouldnt buy it..

S2000 ap1
Evo 8 (any model)
Sti (any model)
Rx8
Mazda speed 3
I can get a z06 2002 if i convince the guy to sell it my dad says.. he works for my dad..
any dsm
300zx
350z
g35
malibu 2007-2008
chevy cobalt sc or the new turboc comming. ( my dad works for chevy )
HHR Turbocharged
BMW M3 2002 n lower year
Srt-4
SC300
I honestly would like a sti evo or s2k or 300zx but i dont know which of all the cars i listed is more reliable and easy to mod without problems reasons being i am low paid ( i do have a camry as a dd ) so i can get rwd... i would prefer awd or rwd not fwd..
Older 300ZX's are pretty unreliable especially the turbo ones. My friends one was always breaking down. They are extremely diffucult to work on as well, very tight under the the hood. S2K's are pretty nice but kinda impractical. I like STI's as well but the Evo is more exciting and it definetely responds well to basic mods. Of course since this is an Evo forum most people will say the Evo but if I could afford it I would park an 05-07 STI next to my Evo.

Sti (any model) Save your money, I just got rid of my wrx and the Evo is a whole different world, so much better
Rx8 My buddy has one and hates it, constantly killing spark plugs which i guess is a big job and common problem
Mazda speed 3 dont know much about
I can get a z06 2002 if i convince the guy to sell it my dad says.. he works for my dad.. great car
any dsm do you like working on cars
300zx not bad
350z not bad either
g35 fancy 350z
malibu 2007-2008 your joking right????
chevy cobalt sc or the new turboc comming. ( my dad works for chevy ) maybe
HHR Turbocharged please dont
BMW M3 2002 n lower year great cars
Srt-4

just my opinion
Personally, I would love to have an M3 for the summer and keep my Evo for the winter. Not for a beater but an AWD for plowing the snow Of all the cars you have listed, I narrow it down to this list:

1. Evo 8 or 9 (love the 9 front bumper)
2. G35 (since you have the Camry for winter)
3. M3 (make sure you have enough in your bank if you have problems)

I would say any of those three choice is good. If you're in high school, make sure you became friends with all your peers because they might do something you least expected it. But before you do it, make sure you check on your insurance first!!! Good luck!

hey bro im 20 years old and my advise is go up in stages. you can't just jump from a sentra to an evo. i was fortunate enough to own a couple ok cars. i thought i was a bad *** in my cheap cars and i crashed them, but i learned and matured. granted im still very young. have fun with a cheaper car; work on it, learn from it, then move up. believe me driving an evo in highschool will get you killed haha. the car is tempting by itself and u don't need a car full of people telling you to go faster. that being said out of that list the s2000.

Of course, go Evo.

But **** that RX8, get an RX7(FD), swap that twin turbo for a single...A Big turbo. Because if your gonna shoot out apex seals, you might as well go big Big BIG!!

Evo is an amazing car, because there are so many new parts comming out for it making it a better DD and over all power house. You'll have fun with it and you'll defiantly get your money's worth with mods just My Opinion

I don't have one yet but I'm working on that

I guess i did, ... its okay if you want that kind of car, but your on an Evo forum and not a Miata forum, so Im assuming its not your kinda car

I am sure you already realize noone can tell you what YOU are going to like, but for what its worth I've owned 34 vehicles (stangs, camaros, dsms, wrx, etc.) and driven thousands (I sell cars) and the Evo is hands down the funnest car Ive driven.

Have you ever seen the Cadillac commercial where the chic says "When you turn your car on, does it return the favor?" Well the Evo does!

hahaha well GL with ur car bro... if thats what you want just make sure you have the funds to back up a used car. especially evos... they take money like no other and thats if you're knowledgeable with car and do your own mechanic work.

quite similar to the 350z but the 350z chassis is better(stiffer) than the g35. if you will not be doing too much upgrade on the car id say go for the IX.
