So this is one of the most noobish questions I could think of.

Often when I'm viewing the EVO X threads, they mention that they love or hate the new Aero kit on the Xs.

So....what in tht hell is an aero kit?

what does it look like and why do so many have a love - hate opinion on it.
what does such a kit offer?

so when somebody is referring to the Aero kit, it consists of:

the back wing?

the black things behind the front wheels? Like the black vents...

and a bottom front end lip?

thats it? almost all of the X's have this type of configuration. What does an X look like with out the Aero kit?

if you browse through photos you will see some with the aero kit and some without it. It really is not a dramatic difference at all appearance wise and is much more visable in person. Go check out the car at a mitsu dealership if there are any near you with one. Besides, if you really are thinking of buying go in and talk to them but show them your not die hard set on the evo and your not in a rush to buy... will help negotiations later.

the base GSR has the same wing as on the lancer GTS. the SSS package, and aero kit both add a slightly larger spoiler. The MR will come standard with it.

so there is a technical side to it too, I noticed that it mentions under the description that it aids in down-force when driving helping to keep the EVO to the ground.

so its both for looks and for functionality.

 

all they do just to make the car..looks more agressive that's all...meaner....
